In December 2015, Angelo Miramonti held the training “The Role of the Joker in Forum Theatre”.

The workshop was a response to a strong need of high-quality TO training-for-trainers in Hungary and set the start of the initiative “HOTOH – Home of the Theatre of the Oppressed for Hungary“.

It was aimed to Theatre of the Oppressed / Forum Theatre facilitators, Jokers/Kuringa, and to community developers who are using TO tools / Forum Theatre in communities in Hungary.

1. Practice how to develop Forum Theatre plays starting from the unresolved oppressive situations they experience in their daily life;

2. Learn what is the role of the Joker in Forum Theatre according to the Boal’s method;

3. Practice Jokering and receive individualized feedback from the group and the facilitator.
