PPLG 2018 – Play, Perform, Learn, Grow:
Exploring Creative Community Practices
www.pplg2018.gr
ANAMUH is supporting organization of PPLG, an international conference/ festival gathering community organizers, educators, therapists, artists, social theatre practitioners, researchers, performance and scholar activists from all over the world, refugees, migrants, locals, who are seeking new – and often performatory – ways to address the pain and alienation of our times, re-create their lives and build new kinds of communities.
PPLG emerged while building communities through performance in the often dehumanizing conditions of the Greek refugee camps.
A couple of hundreds of performance activists from more than 30 countries are gathering together to celebrate and develop the power of performance as a means of individual, community and world transformation, sharing work/ play / research, exploring performance, play and the arts as alternative approaches to traditional ways of educating students, practicing therapy, engaging social problems, and activating and creating communities across geographical, language, religious and ideological boundaries.
PPLG is co-organised by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, East Side Institute of New York and Lesvos Solidarity – Pikpa Open Refugee Camp on the Greek island of Lesbos. It builds with the history of Performing the World in New York.
Join and build with us this growing community!
Follow the PPLG conference and community and support it!

‘Bringing the world back
Humans can be present
Without being present
Performing the world is something that we do everyday
Incredibly happy and hard to do that
With you
Since we are all connected anyhow
And there is no them, there is only us
To play, to imagine, to transform’
